Military Class II

Whether you're doing desktop work, gaming or overclocking, you want your computer to be as stable as possible, that is the reason why MSI advanced the use of its Military Class Components to Military Class II. MSI's Military Class II mainboards are built using Military Class Components to ensure the highest stability under every circumstance. All MSI next-gen Intel® 6 Series B3 chipset products are built around the three Military Class II components. Hi-c CAP, SFC (Super Ferrite Choke) and Solid CAP.

Hi-C CAP

A Military Class Hi-c CAP is the ultimate capacitor. The core component of a Hi-c CAP is the rare element Tantalum which is known for its numerous benefits:

  • Small Form Factor
    1. Hi-c CAPs are extremely small, ensuring you have enough freedom around your socket when placing a new cooler or preparing for even more extreme overclocking.

  • Extreme stability
    1. The unique self-healing construction of MSI's Military Class Hi-c CAP ensures successful operation under extreme temperatures.

  • Extreme low leakage
    1. Military Class Hi-c CAPs have extreme low current leakage, this means a really high efficiency.
    SFC

MSI's new Super Ferrite Chokes (SFC)  that enhance all attributes of their electrical characteristics

  • Power Efficiency
    1. SFC's have a 10% higher power efficiency when compared to traditional chokes

  • Higher Capacity
    1. SFC's have a 30% higher current capacity for extreme overclocks

  • Perfect Balance
    1. Military Class SFC's have the perfect balance between better overclocking capability and higher efficiency
    Solid CAP

Solid CAPs are the mainstay of high end overclocking mainboards

  • Long Lifetime
    1. Military Class Solid CAPs have a lifetime over 12 years under extreme conditions, like 80°C temperatures

  • Lower Temperatures
    1. Because of the increased efficiency and up to 50% lower resistance, solid CAPs operate at much lower temperatures

  • High Stability
    1. The Aluminium core of an Military Class Solid CAP ensures no risk of explosions
